Magdalena Bay, often referred to as Mag Bay, is a popular destination for gray whales to mate and give birth to their young, particularly during the first three months of the year. This location offers one of the most extraordinary wildlife encounters on the planet. The gray whales of Mag Bay are unique; over the years, they have developed a curious fascination with humans, making this area one of the best places in the world for whale watching. These majestic creatures are well-known for their friendly nature, earning them the nickname “Ballenas Amistosas” or “Friendly Whales.”
